Up and running!

Last night was the first night for my weekly accordion teaching group. I’m going to be at the Horfield Quaker Meeting House every Monday night in term time (300 Gloucester Rd, Bristol BS7 8PD). Here’s a picture of the building:

Come to the blue door and ring the doorbell on the right – there will be a sign saying ‘Accordion Club – ring this doorbell’…
I’m there from 7pm to 10pm; the idea is that the first part of the evening is for beginners and the second part for improvers. So the beginners teaching time will be 7.20 to 8.20 (you can arrive from 7.10 to unpack and say hello) then the improvers teaching time will be 8.40 to 9.40 (you can arrive at 8.30). Sessions cost £6 – if you’re not sure which one to come to, come to both for the same price!
Please do come along if you are interested. I hope that playing in a group will give people a chance to learn without the intensity, commitment and cost of one-to-one lessons. We’ll be doing left hand exercises, playing musical games to help improve your ear for a tune, building up bellows technique, working on confidence and performance and lots more. See you next Monday!
